CLEARFIELD, PA. – Individuals living with arthritis can benefit from a free, successful Health and Wellness Program offered by Mature Resources Area Agency on Aging. The Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program (AFEP) has been scheduled from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. each Tuesday and Friday from January 9, through March 22, 2024, at the Clearfield Center for Active Living, located at the Clearfield Presbyterian Church, 119 North Second Street, Clearfield. This program was offered in the fall, and class size is growing, but there are still spaces available in this popular exercise class.

AFEP is a community-based recreational exercise program developed by the Arthritis Foundation. Trained AFEP instructors cover a variety of range-of-motion and endurance-building activities, relaxation techniques, and health education topics. All of the exercises can be modified to meet participant needs.

This program is free and open to the public, but registration is required. For more information or to register, contact Connie at MRAAA at 814-765-2696 or charris@matureresources.life
