Mature Resources Area Agency on Aging (MRAAA) provides in-home services designed to help older adults maintain independence, including home-delivered meals, care management, and, for qualifying, assistance with daily living tasks. They offer, through their offices in Curwensville and Clearfield, specialized, personalized support. 

Core In-Home Services

 

MRAAA provides several direct and coordinated services to support seniors in their own homes:

  • In-Home Support & Personal Care: Assistance with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and light housekeeping to ensure safety and dignity at home 

​

  • Nutrition Programs: Home-delivered meals (Meals on Wheels) and specialized initiatives like "Meals with a Message" and "Blizzard Boxes" for emergency food supply

​​

  • Caregiver Support: Provides reimbursement for respite care, education, and resources for family members caring for older relatives 

​​

  • Protective Services: A 24/7 reporting system to investigate and address elder abuse, neglect, or financial exploitation 

​​

  • Ombudsman & Legal Awareness: Advocacy for residents in long-term care facilities and education about benefits and rights

Funding comes from the Federal Older American's Act, Pennsylvania Lottery funds, Client Contributions, USDA and other local  Funds. Services are available to all older persons age 60 and who are residents of Clearfield County.
